Ait Benhaddou

That's me all squinty and hot on Friday at Ait Benhaddou, near Ouarzazate, where Lawrence of Arabia and Indiana Jones and Gladiator and a number of other movies were filmed. Ait Benhaddou is another UNESCO World Heritage Site, a village fortress thought to have been built around the 11th century that used to be an important way station on the Trans-Sahara trekking route from Marrakesh, the only caravan route through the Atlas Mountains.
